FUSION - Fixes mycotoxin problems and boosts immune systems

Mycotoxins are produced from many diverse fungal species. Most agriculturally important mycotoxins are produced primarily by three of fungi: Aspergillus, Penicillium and Fusarium. Low levels of toxins in feed are likely to cause metabolic disturbances accompanied by pathological changes. Even if negative analytical results for the presence of mycotoxins are discovered, “hot spots” in feed and/or feedstuffs give bias to the assessment procedure.

Numerous studies have demonstrated the effect of mycotoxins on the immune system of animals. Continued exposure to DON and ZEA impairs not only growth performance but also alveolar macrophage activity and vaccine titres.

Feed supplement trials routinely analyse pig blood samples as a measure of immune response to various important commercial swine diseases and vaccine efficacy. Commercial studies on weaner pigs in China have demonstrated that the Fusion range of products increases blood serum antibody titres of Pseudorabies, Blue Ear and Swine Fever over a twelve-month period. This demonstrates that the integration of Fusion into commercial diets is responsible for elevating the innate protective immune response against a range of problematic diseases.
